York International Women's Week celebrating |
Thanks to everyone who took part in YIWW 2010 From the feedback it sounds as if this year's special events at IWW brought people together in many positive and engaging ways. Ideas, knowledge, stories and skills were exchanged, issues were discussed, people were entertained and challenged, were exercised physically and mentally, waxed creative, were made aware of political issues, and had a good laugh. Well worth all our efforts and a great way to share memorable experiences with the whole community.

Here is a final word from York's International Women's Week celebrations 2010 which, as usual, collaborated with events going on at the same time. There was a diverse programme of over 30 events with thousands of people attending the Fairtrade Market weekend and hundreds more filling the house for York Settlement Players' "The Three Sisters."
