York International Women's Week celebrating |
York International Women's Week 2012 This programme marks the 15th year that York has held its own festival around International Women’s Day (IWD), 8 March. Last year was the centenary of IWD and York women offered 48 events for everyone in the city to enjoy. This year we are delighted to have 78 events in the programme – a remarkable achievement for a grassroots, unfunded festival. Thanks to everyone who is has got involved, and special thanks gto Sue Lister for once again coordinating our efforts. YIWW offers a great variety of events, many of which are free.
