Around the world on 8 March, International Women's Day (IWD) marks a celebration of the economic, social, cultural and political achievements of women.

 

Between 3 and 11 March York is hosting a week-long celebration offering a wide variety of events.  Many of the events are free of charge and all women are welcome.

 

Make this International Women’s Week part of your 2007.  Help ensure the future for women is bright, equal, safe and rewarding - think globally and act locally!

Mad Forest: a play by Caryl Churchill

The Real People Theatre presents A Question of Power (2)

Transit Motorcycles and York Rider Training Scheme are hosting a taster session for women interested in motorcycling but who know nothing about it. They’ll be bikes and helmets to try for size and mechanics / trainers to talk to about the variety of bikes available, different motorcycling activities and the process of getting a licence.
